# Cue Cards on macOS

> Pin a note summary in a separate window for quick reference while you work

Need to reference a note while working on something else? Cue cards open your note in a separate, read-only window that stays on screen while you work.

<Note>
  macOS only. In the app, this feature is currently labeled **View summary** in menus.
</Note>

## Opening a Cue Card

Two ways to open one:

* **Right-click** a note in your list and choose **View summary**
* **Open a note**, click the **...** menu in the toolbar, and choose **View summary**

## Using It

The window stays open while you switch between notes, and remembers its size and position. You can have multiple cue cards open at once — one per note.

See [Note Actions](/user-guides/managing-voice-notes) for the full list of things you can do with a note.
