Cue Cards

Create cue cards to help you remember your notes

Cue cards in Cleft are a powerful tool to help you review and remember the key points from your notes. This feature is currently available on macOS and allows you to view a summary of your note in a separate window for quick reference.

How to access cue cards

There are two ways to access cue cards:

  1. Right-click method:

    • Right-click on a note you want to review.

    • Select "View Summary" from the context menu.

  2. Left tab method:

    • Select a note in the left tab of the UI.

    • Look for the cue card option (this might be a button or menu item).

Using cue cards

Once you've opened a cue card:

  1. A new window will appear, showing a summary of your selected note.

  2. This window cannot be edited, but it can be kept open while you work on other notes.

  3. Use the cue card as a reference while creating or editing other notes.

Tips for effective use

  • Keep cue cards open for complex or lengthy notes to aid in quick reference.

  • Use cue cards during meetings or presentations to have key points readily available.

  • Refer to cue cards when creating related notes to maintain consistency in your information.

Benefits of cue cards

  • Quick access to note summaries without switching between notes

  • Easier retention of key information while working on other tasks

  • Efficient review of important points without disrupting your workflow

Cue cards are currently a macOS-exclusive feature. We're working on bringing this functionality to iOS and iPadOS in future updates.

By utilizing cue cards, you can enhance your productivity and ensure you always have key information at your fingertips while using Cleft.
