We build products where people feel like they belong and that help our users gain confidence in their own thoughts. Cleft exists to help you capture your thoughts, removing friction from your workflows.
Focused Purpose
We built Cleft to do one thing, really well, with an opinionated product design mentality. We have no interest in becoming another “everything” app.
Inclusive by Design
Beautiful software, in our opinion, is amazing to use, secure and accessible, and inclusive by default - not as a nice-to-have.
We started Cleft for users who are usually counted as “edge-cases” - the ones typically treated as afterthoughts in product design. As neurodivergent founders (that’s us, Justin and Jonny!), we understand these challenges firsthand.
Design Philosophy
We wanted to build something by us and for us, and open to all. We believe if you build a house, people need to be able to walk in, roll in, or fly in - everybody should participate equally from day one.
Privacy Promise
We’re jaded with how companies treat user data. Our only interest in your data is keeping it safe and making it accessible to you. No model-training, no GDPR issues, no data lock-in, no prying eyes.
We’re a small, dedicated team of developers, designers, and thought-processors who are passionate about helping people think better. As a neurodivergent team, we intimately understand the challenges of traditional note-taking and thought processing. Every member of our team uses Cleft daily, which helps us understand and improve the product from a user’s perspective.
Built by Verbal Processors
We understand the unique challenges of processing thoughts through speech because we face them ourselves. As ADHD and neurodivergent individuals, Cleft is the tool we wished existed.
Focused on Quality
We’re committed to delivering a premium experience with reliable transcriptions, thoughtful features, and responsive support that works for all types of thinkers.
