What It Does

Set rules for how Cleft generates titles for your notes. Choose a style that matches how you think and organize.

Style Options

  • Smart summary — AI-generated titles based on content (current default)
  • Date-based — Titles like “December 13, 2025 - 2:30 PM”
  • First words — Use the first few words of your note as the title
  • Custom format — Define your own title pattern with placeholders

Why It Matters

A good title makes finding notes easier. Whether you prefer descriptive summaries, timestamps, or something else entirely—title styles let you decide.
Works with custom instructions — Title styles complement your existing custom instructions, giving you even more control over your note output.
