Learn how to modify, organize, and manage your existing notes in Cleft
Updating Notes
Cleft provides various ways to update and manage your existing notes. This guide will walk you through the different options available for modifying your notes.
Selecting Notes
To update a note, you first need to select it:
On iOS and iPadOS: Tap on the note you want to update.
On macOS: Click on the note in the list view.
Editing notes
To edit the content of a note:
Open the note you want to edit.
Tap or click on the “Edit” button, usually represented by a pencil icon.
Make your changes in the text editor.
Save your changes by tapping “Done” or clicking the save icon.
Archiving notes
To keep your workspace clean without deleting notes:
Select the note(s) you want to archive.
Look for the “Archive” option, usually in the “More” or context menu.
Confirm the action to move the note(s) to the archive.
Deleting notes
To permanently remove a note:
Select the note(s) you want to delete.
Tap or click the “Delete” option, usually represented by a trash can icon.
Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Find & Replace
To search for and replace text within a note:
Open the note you want to modify.
Look for the “Find & Replace” option in the editing menu.
Enter the text to find and the replacement text.
Choose to replace individual instances or all at once.
Duplicate notes
To create a copy of an existing note:
Select the note you want to duplicate.
Look for the “Duplicate” option in the “More” or context menu.
A new copy of the note will be created with “(Copy)” appended to the title.
Remember to regularly review and update your notes to keep your information current and organized.
Deleting notes is permanent and cannot be undone. Make sure you want to delete a note before confirming the action.
