Making text notes
Create notes silently using text input when you can't speak
How can I write with Cleft AI?
Cleft allows you to create notes using text as well as voice. Cleft will summarize what you wrote down for when you need it - super handy for brain-dumping when you can't talk!
On iOS press and hold the orange "➕" button.
On macOS, select "New Text Note" from the File menu or press ⌘ + T
on your keyboard.
Type your note in the text editor that appears.
On iOS, tap "Save" when you've finished writing.
On macOS select "Save" or press ⌘ + ⏎
to finish up.
When might I need a 'quiet' space to write?
Quiet environments like a library, or when you're on a quiet train - that's when Cleft silent mode kicks in. Quickly jot down ideas when speaking isn't convenient. Create structured notes or lists that might be harder to dictate, or that you're not sure how you want it structured. For those thoughts that you need to tap out, before they're gone. Use text input for notes that require precise wording or formatting.
One person's quiet space is another person's busy coffee shop. Whether it's getting outside for a walk or getting moving and sticking your AirPods in, you can make notes wherever you go handsfree with Cleft.
