Setup Requirements

  • Cleft Plus subscription
  • Google Account with Tasks enabled
  • Zapier account (free tier works)

Installation Steps

  1. Click Install Template
  2. Connect your Cleft account
  3. Connect your Google account (same one as Gmail/Calendar)
  4. Select your tasks list
  5. Turn on the Zap
Important: When creating a note, add the tasks tag to trigger automation. This gives you a chance to review items before they sync to Google Tasks. Your Google Tasks will auto-populate from Cleft!

Customization

By default, only notes tagged with tasks will trigger automation (your human review checkpoint). To trigger from every note instead:
  1. Open the Zap in Zapier
  2. Edit the trigger step
  3. Remove the “tags contains tasks” filter
  4. Save and turn on
Now every note with checkboxes will auto-sync to Google Tasks, with no review step.
Google Tasks supports multiple lists. Create separate Zaps for:
  • Work tasks
  • Personal tasks
  • Project-specific tasks
Use filters to route items to the right list.
Google Tasks supports natural language due dates. Mention dates in your Cleft note and map them in Zapier.

Checkbox Format
