The send options menu provides quick access to all sharing and copying features in one convenient location.

Quick Copy Options

  1. Open your note
  2. Click the Send button (paper airplane icon) in the top right
  3. Choose your preferred option:
    1. Copy Plain Text
    2. Copy Markdown
    3. Create Shareable Link
    4. Send to Notion (Plus feature)

Auto-Copy

Auto-copy feature is available exclusively to Plus users on macOS.

Open Settings

Go to Settings > General

Choose copy format

Look for “Auto-copy to Clipboard” and select from these options:

  • Copy the note link
  • Copy the note in markdown format
  • Copy the note in plaintext format
  • Copy both the link and markdown
  • Copy a password-protected link (Plus feature)

Create a note

After creating a new note, Cleft will automatically copy your selected information to your device’s clipboard.

Share to Apps

Cleft integrates with Apple’s Share Sheet for seamless sharing to various apps:

The available sharing options may vary between iOS/iPadOS and macOS. Mobile devices typically offer more sharing possibilities due to how Apple’s ShareSheet works.

Share your Cleft notes securely with anyone, even if they don’t have a Cleft account.

Open your note

Navigate to the note you want to share

Create link

Click the share icon or select “Create Shareable Link”

Optionally set password protection and permissions (Plus features)

Copy the generated link to your clipboard

  • Quick sharing: Generate secure links in seconds - opens in a new web browser for easy viewing
  • Password protection: Add extra security to sensitive notes (Plus feature)
  • Link management: Track and revoke access anytime through the Shared Links view
  • Comments: Enable discussions and feedback on your shared notes

Comments & Collaboration

Anyone with access to your shared note can leave comments to start discussions or provide feedback. As the note owner, you’ll receive email notifications whenever someone comments on your note.

You can also connect comments with Zapier to automate workflows - for example, sending comments to Slack or creating tasks in your project management tool.

Use the “Shared Links” filter view in your notes list to see all notes you’ve shared

Monitor access

Track who has viewed and commented on your shared notes

Revoke access

Remove sharing access anytime by deleting the shared link

Always review your note’s content before sharing to ensure you’re not sharing sensitive information unintentionally.
