What Works Offline

  • Record voice or text notes
  • Read cached notes (your last 50 are stored automatically)
Sharing, syncing, and other online features are unavailable until you reconnect.

Preflight Mode

Need your full library offline? Turn on Preflight Mode and Cleft downloads all your notes ahead of time. Go to Settings > General > Offline and toggle it on. Text content downloads immediately — audio still streams when you’re back online.

Syncing

When you reconnect, open Cleft and your offline notes sync automatically. The sync icon in the toolbar shows a badge with the number of notes waiting to upload.
Open Cleft while online regularly to keep your cache fresh.
